Small World is where our youngest worshippers gather to celebrate being children of God! We hope to see you soon at Small World where we may be small but our love for the Lord is BIG!

Sundays at Small World

Childcare for ages 1 and under for all services. Ages 2-4 have one hour of LIFE Group (8:00 a.m. or 9:30 a.m) and one hour of Worship Care (10:50 a.m.). Children in kindergarten can join Children's Worship in Weber Activity Center at 10:50 a.m. after LIFE Group at 8:00 a.m or 9:30 a.m.

Wednesdays at Small World

Childcare for ages 2 and under beginning at 5:45 p.m. Music & Missions for ages 3-5.

Small World Music and Missions
Wednesdays, 5:45–7:00 p.m.

Every week preschoolers ages 3–5 will be singing fun songs, using instruments, playing games, learning about missionaries around the world, and helping transform our community. Volunteers are needed to help with Music and Missions. Please contact the Preschool Office at 398.9162 for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Preschool Ministry at First West

How do I locate the Preschool Ministry area?
From the Worship Center lobby area (the Grand Hallway), you and your family may check in with our Guest Information Center. A personal escort will take you to the Preschool Area.

How do I check in my preschooler?
You will be asked to provide basic information about you and your child. Classroom assignment is based on growth stage (babies–24 months) or age group (2 years–kindergarten).

Is there a security system?
When a parent signs in his or her child, they are given a ticket that corresponds with a name tag that the child wears while in the preschool area. Children are not released to an adult unless the adult has a ticket proving they have the right to collect a particular child.

How long may my child remain in the Preschool Ministry area?
Babies through age 4 years may remain during the LIFE group session and Worship hour. 5-year-olds can attend LIFE group and then attend Children's Worship in Weber at 10:50 a.m. or worship with their parents.

At what time before each service/LIFE group hour may I bring my child to the Preschool Ministry area?
Children may be brought to the classroom 15 minutes before the session begins. Many of our leaders are coming from the worship service, but will usually be in place 15 minutes before class is scheduled to start.

What will my child be doing while we are here?
All of our Preschool classes are taught on an "age-appropriate" level. Babies and toddlers are shown concepts such as trust, love, gentleness through songs, having needs met and adults caring for them who represent Christ.

Weekday Ministries at Small World

Mother's Day Out
For ages 6 weeks to 4 years, this ministry provides a loving, nurturing, Christian atmosphere promoting social and spiritual growth in the child as well as teaching them about God's love. Children will be provided time each day to explore their surroundings, enjoy music, play time, library, story time, and rest. MDO meets on Tuesdays and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. til 2:00 p.m. For information concerning the dates MDO is held, as well as fees and polices, please contact Kim Stinson at 322-7199.

W.E.E. School
(Weekday Early Education)
Designed for ages 3 and 4 years, this program helps prepare the child to enter kindergarten. Children hear Bible stories, take local field trips, participate in weekly music class, and other age-appropriate activities to help make the transition from home to school easier.
